Vallechi: Sound as Story

As the world continues to shift, so do the ways we connect, move and listen. For Vallechi, club culture is not an escape, but a space for transformation. A ritual of sound, movement and imagery, where personal stories can be remembered, rewritten and re-experienced.

Vallechi is a Portuguese-Brazilian multimedia artist and storyteller working at the intersection of sound, visual art and performance. With a background in classical and electronic music studies, and over a decade spent in London immersed in fashion, creative direction and cultural production, his work merges music with narrative structure, symbolism and immersive design.

His dual heritage shapes the emotional palette of his sound. Portuguese musical tradition brings a profound sense of melancholy and introspection, while Brazil lends boldness, movement and colour. Strongly influenced by the UK electronic scene, Vallechi blends ethereal soundscapes with percussive, club-rooted rhythms, resulting in a distinctive and emotionally layered sonic language.

Vallechi’s practice spans DJ sets, original productions, immersive installations, AV projects and live performances. Whether in clubs, art spaces or festivals, he creates narrative-driven environments designed to guide audiences through internal landscapes. These experiences speak to the subconscious, weaving together story, memory and emotion through sound.

He is signed to Ultra Publishing and currently writes music for internationally recognised artists across genres. His own releases, including his EP series developed with Proxy Fae, reflect an evolving sound world that continues to grow in complexity and depth. His work has been featured in DJ Mag (Top Emerging Artists of 2023), Clash Magazine, Dazed, Wonderland and Fucking Young.

He has performed in cities including London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Prague, Lisbon and Porto, sharing stages with artists such as Laurent Garnier, Skrillex, Ross From Friends, Absolute and Aleksandir. Vallechi is also the founder of EDG, a creative platform and label supporting artists who prioritise storytelling, emotional impact and freedom from genre conventions.

At the heart of Vallechi’s work lies a belief that sound is more than rhythm. His approach to music is symbolic, treating each element as part of a larger narrative architecture. Sound becomes more than atmosphere; it becomes language, a vehicle for emotional and psychological storytelling. Each project is crafted as a living composition, where rhythm, harmony and silence are carefully placed to evoke memory, introspection and transformation.
